This device has Lithium Polymer 4000mAh that can last up to 18 hours under heavy usage like playing games and up to 3 days under normal usage like messaging and 3G call, it’s the P780’s asset in terms of battery life since other phones like Alcatel Pop C9 can only last 8hours under simultaneous playing Clash of Clans and only 2 days in normal usage.

Lenovo P780 Technical Specifications

Visual Check and Display

This device has an awesome design with 10mm thickness and weighs 176 grams. The design has a unique look compare to other designs made by the Lenovo, side design will help you extreme grip than other phones we had reviewed recently.

Even some reviews mentioned that Lenovo P780 is only for Practical users, in this review we don’t say that since the design has unique look and by the help of soft metallic finish.

It has a wide 5.5 inch display IPS capacitive with 294 pixel per inch will let you experience a good time to watch video and check your photos, the screen doesn’t have any protective coating like the other high end smartphones; you need to apply a screen protector to help you out having hairline scratches

It supports Dual SIM settings with 3G connectivity in SIM 1.

Camera

It has an 8 mega pixel rear camera that supports auto focus system, face detection and geo tagging, it also have a camera flash. The front camera is good despite of having 1.2 MP.

User Experience

I own this phone since 2014 October. 4.2.1 jelly bean out of the box. I was able to update it to Kitkat in December. I am very satisfied with its performance i get 1 full day on 18 hours of wifi, 5 hrs of calls and still 50% battery for next day. Little heating problem but compared to others its a monster in battery.

Maybe now it is outdated with 1gb ram and front camera with 1mp compared to newly released phone like Alcatel Flash Plus with superb hardware. Nevertheless there are many customization and features like double tap to lock, volume button to light the screen, Power saving modes etc, but until now there are no news update if they will release an update from Kitkat to Lollipop. I bought my Lenovo P780 on their official kiosk in SM Calamba in the price of Php 10,999 and still I can say it is performing well up to date.

Actually I chose this because of battery capacity compared to other phone on that kiosk with high camera pixels but short on battery mAh. If you are to buy and choose between battery or camera specs?
