DFA or the Department of Foreign Affairs has announced that starting 1st of August that they will consider postal IDs which are issued by PHLpost as a valid recognized ID when you apply for a passport.

This was announced on Tuesday, July 23, by the FDA and the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLpost) after the two agencies signed a memorandum of agreement. This agreement would provide the DFA an access to the Postal ID Verification System or POVS, which is a software application that facilitates the easy verification of the PhlPost ID. Readmore

The increase in the Social Security System (SSS) contribution rate and the pension fund for workers in the private sector will be implemented by April this year. The said increase is 12% from the recent 1 percentage point.

Concurrently, the minimum and maximum monthly salary credit (MSC) will rise up to P2,000 and P20,000, respectively. The MSC is where the 12 percent contribution rate will depend. Readmore

The highly-anticipated New Manila International Airport in Bulacan is now one phase ahead from realization as San Miguel Corporation (SMC) President Ramon Ang announced that the project will break ground this year.

Last December 24, the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) authorized the negotiation results of the project’s Concession Agreement (CA) between the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and San Miguel Holding Corporation (SMHC). Readmore

Early of 2017, slots for passport appointment are closing one by one much to the frustration of many applicants. This did not change by the start of 2018 where an increase of over 100k slots was added but still, this addition did not cater every past applicant and even the new ones.
