The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has instructed the online sellers and other electronic-trading businesses to record their past operations, declare previous activities, and liquidate their corresponding taxes before the end of July to guarantee tax compliance and for taxation purposes.

This is the government’s effort to raise more funds as the Philippines is suffering from an economic downturn since the novel coronavirus occurred. Readmore

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) and The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) are adapting the new normal by opening a new system called “Public Transport Online Processing System (PTOPS) to reduce physical contact.

On a press statement by the Department of Transportation (DOTr), motorists may access the online portal at lto.gov.ph to apply for a driver’s license or getting a renewal for car registration starting on June 16. Readmore

The Department of Social and Welfare Development announced that they received the first Php 100 billion of the Php 200 billion emergency subsidy from the Department of Budget and Management.

At least 18 million poor families are going to benefit the cash aid who are currently coping with the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) to avoid the COVID-19 virus.
